Active Tests, also known as Actuator Tests, are bi-directional diagnostic tests on vehicle systems and components. The tests let you use the scanner temporarily activate or control a vehicle system or component, and when you exit the test, the system/component returns to normal operation. NT510 elite for Honda & Acura cannot only read your codes, but it can also actuate components, run system tests, program control modules. It allows you to use the scan tool temporarily activate or control a vehicle system or component.

NT510 Elite for Honda is a professional scan tool for enthusiasts, independent repairs, specialized garages and technicians. Quick scan performs an automatic system test to determine which control modules are installed on the vehicle and provides diagnostic trouble codes overview. It does not only include basic functions – read and erase codes, but also capable of advanced functions – actuation, activation, adaptation, initialization, learn/relearn, calibration and coding. In addition, it allows you to access the most commonly required service features, which usually only be available from Benz dealer level scanners or much more expensive professional tools. Such as ABS bleeding, transmission adaptations, battery registration, throttle body adjustment, as well as the followings:

Oil Light / Service Reset: Allows you to reset the service lamps on the instrument cluster.

Airbag (SRS) / Antilock Brake System (ABS) Service: Allows you to use the scanner temporarily to activate or control anti-lock brake system, airbags or components.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Programming: Allows you to check the tire sensor IDs from the vehicle ECU and to perform TPMS programming and reset after tires sensors are replaced or rotated.

Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration: Allows you to perform the DPF cleaning to clear the blockage through continuous burning of the particulates captured in the DPF filter. When a DPF regeneration cycle completed, the DPF light automatically goes off.

Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Calibration: Allows you to perform calibration of the steering angle sensor, which permanently stores the current steering wheel position as straight-ahead in the sensor EEPROM. After calibrate sensor successfully, its fault memory will be automatically cleared.

Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Service: Allows you to perform service and maintenance, including deactivation and activation of brake control system, bleeding brake fluid, opening and closing brake pads, and setting brakes after disc or pad replacement, on where electronic brake systems are fitted. Diagnoses EPB caliper functionality, initializes the wear indicator if new pads installed and deactivates or re-activates brake control system.

How to Update Foxwell NT510 Elite OBD Scanner?

Note: Please turn off the firewall while install the software, or it may block the process:

1. Turn on www.foxwelltech.us, and click the “Products” part to find the NT510 Elite.

2. Enter into NT510 Elite page and Download “FoxAssist”.

3. Install “FoxAssist” in your windows laptop/desktop and register an account.

4. Activate your NT510 Elite scan tool for mercede by inputting the serial number. You can find the serial number on the back of the main unit or on the machine “Setting”- “About” page.

5. Connect your NT510 Elite scanner with PC via USB cable and click update menu in your NT510 Elite and then in the FoxAssist interface.

6. Choose the car makes and wait for the downloads untill the process completed.
